Dr. Sacha Elliott-Drury is a licensed naturopathic physician and had a family practice in North Vancouver before joining the Selkirk Naturopathic Clinic in Maple Ridge in 2014.
She focuses on motivating, educating and empowering her patients to create balance in their health by using a variety of therapeutic modalities including clinical nutrition, supplementation, herbal medicine, acupuncture, detoxification, vitamin injections, chelation therapy and counseling.
She delves to uncover the root cause of disease and teaches her patients how they got to be in this state of health and what to do to achieve optimal health on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels.
Dr. Elliott-Drury treats a wide range of health conditions and has a special interest in women’s health including infertility, menopause, PCOS and PMS; gastrointestinal disorders; weight management; detoxification; mental/emotional imbalance; stress management; food allergies and sensitivities; skin disorders; and thyroid and adrenal imbalance.
She attained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of British Columbia and then went on to complete a four-year doctorate program at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine (BINM).
Dr. Elliott-Drury is licensed by the College of Naturopathic Physicians in British Columbia and is a member in good standing of both the British Columbia Naturopathic Association and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Physicians. She is certified in acupuncture and chelation therapy (heavy metal detoxification) and has her pharmaceutical prescribing license.
Dr. Bean has experience working largely with families, young ones and mamas-to-be. She brings her wisdom as a mother of two to help women achieve a healthy pregnancy and smooth labour. She has worked overseas In Singapore for two years which improved her skills in chronic illness as she saw various patients in SE Asia, India and Australia who were unable to find the care they needed.

Dr. Aggie Matusik, ND had been practicing naturopathic medicine since 2007 in North Burnaby, BC. before relocating with her family to Maple Ridge and joining the Selkirk Naturopathic Clinic in 2016.
In her family practice, Dr. Matusik focuses on assisting her patients in achieving optimal health by addressing the underlying cause of symptoms. Conditions often treated are women’s health issues such as peri-menopause and menopause, PMS, fertility concerns, fatigue, anxiety and depression, thyroid disorders, stress related complaints, digestive concerns and neurological disorders.
Dr. Matusik provides a patient centered approach to health by utilizing naturopathic modalities to form comprehensive, individualized treatment plans. In addition, she has additional training and certification to do acupuncture, chelation therapy, IV therapy such as high dose Vitamin C treatments and individualized vitamin and mineral cocktails. Dr. Matusik also has BC prescriptive authority.
Dr. Sheldon Bjorgaard is a licensed Naturopathic Physician and a graduate of the Boucher
Institute of Naturopathic Medicine. Prior to naturopathic medical training, Dr. Bjorgaard
earned his Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Biology from the University of the Fraser Valley.
Dr. Sheldon has received training in a wide variety of modalities, including clinical
nutrition, botanical medicine, acupuncture, minor surgery, and osseous manipulation, as
well as additional certification in intravenous therapies, pharmaceutical prescribing, and
advanced injection therapies. His wide scope of practice allows him to provide
comprehensive naturopathic care for all ages.
While treating a wide variety of patients and conditions, Dr. Sheldon has a clinical focus in
the following areas:
- Digestive Health, including irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and other related
conditions. Dr. Sheldon also tests for the presence of small intestinal bacterial
overgrowth (SIBO) which has been investigated as a cause of many digestive health
- Safe and Effective Weight Loss,inlcuding the use of medically supervised weight
loss programs, individualized dietary interventions and nutritional
- Seasonal and Environmental Allergies. Dr. Sheldon uses skin scratch allergy
testing and allergy de-sensitization drops in order to provide long-lasting complete
- Joint Pain and Injury. Dr. Sheldon is versed in the biopsychosocial model of pain
and is able to discuss causes of chronic pain and treatment options. He also uses
regenerative injection therapies such as prolotherapy and platelet-rich plasma
therapy in addition to compounded topical pain medication and corrective exercise
as part of a comprehensive treatment protocol.
Dr. Sheldon believes strongly in patient-centred medical care, and in providing evidence-
informed medical options that address causes as well as symptoms. He treats each of his
patients individually and holistically in order to help them reach their health goals. He also
takes an integrative approach to health care, collaborating with other doctors and health
care professionals whenever appropriate.
When not in the clinic, Dr. Sheldon enjoys staying active by playing sports, fishing, hiking,
and spending time with friends and family.
Dr. Faaria Karim, ND, strives to enhance & elevate her patients’ lives by educating and empowering them to feel vibrant, strong and energized. She blends clinical expertise with research evidence to address the underlying cause of symptoms to help solve her patients’ health challenges.
Dr. Karim holds both a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree and a Masters of Science degree in Acupuncture from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. Before moving back home to Vancouver, she completed a rigourous residency program at a well-established, integrated clinic in Portland, OR. She was very fortunate to learn from and work with some of the best practitioners in the fields of fertility, women’s health and digestive health and continues to focus in these areas today.
She most commonly serves people who struggle with infertility, thyroid conditions, fatigue, PCOS, PMS, hormones, peri-menopause and menopause, complaints in pregnancy, IBS, food sensitivities, SIBO, Crohns and colitis, and autoimmune conditions.
She is licensed by the College of Naturopathic Physicians in British Columbia and is certified in Prescription Authority and Acupuncture.
